I like those images, but the DOF on the image of the horse seems too deep to be f:1.1. Did you lighten the corners? Because I do get some vignetting at f:1.1 (of f:1) with both...
Brian, I have one of your old lenses... a kind of semi-screwed (supposedly) up 50mm F2 rigid summicron that was up for sale on classifieds for like $350 (had sharpie on the front element)... I was meaning to tell you how great it's been working out on the M9.
I haven't seen any issues with it:

......There is a bit of focus shift as you stop down. A bit of trial and error helps in that respect - by focussing then leaning back a ffew inches...................
No, you need to pull back a smidge to move that shifted focal point forwards, onto your subject. The 1,5/50 Sonnar ZM works the opposite.
Up to maybe 1cm generally or 2cm at the worst - and really just in the center.
