All the best,

A great shot! Full open?

Thank you, Robert! I took that shot yesterday. I was shooting everything at f1.5 (wide open) or at f2 just to see what the lens could do. It was terrific fun! Anyway, to answer your question, yes, this image was shot at f1.5.

All the best,
Mike

Thank for your answer. Yes, terrific photos, for sure the lens is special but the photographer is special as well :)

Thanks for all the images Mike, I'm very tempted by the 75mm as a short tele.

Out of interest, is 'Heliar' a typo (should be 'Nokton'), or does the 75/f1.5 actually have different names in different markets? I know the old 75/f1.8 was a Heliar, but I thought this version was a Nokton?

Well, this is embarrassing. You are right, Nick, it should be “Nokton” not Heliar. Thanks for picking up on that and bringing it to my attention.

All the best,
Mike

Mike, I was going to pick out the one of the guy snoozing just after the portrait that Robert mentioned, but there are several real keepers here. This lens is a nice fit for what you are doing out there! :)

Thank you, David. There is something magical about this lens. It makes ordinary things look extraordinary. What more could anyone ask for?

All the best,
Mike.
