You are correct. When I lived in Montreal they were touting themselves as the snowiest large city in the world and I took them at their word. After seeing it come down at a foot an hour it seemed beyond question to me. Maudits menteurs! ;o)

No matter, maybe I have finical tendency.
The point is that this lens impresses me. 8 elements of whom 4 AD glass for a "simple" 50/3.5. That proves contemporary evolution in optical technology. From time to time I have a dream. One day I will find a good used digital M, in such case Apo-Lanthar will be a serious candidate as 50mm (I prefer 35mm for a fast lens).
