Voigtlander Heliar Classic 50mm f1.5

Dogman, you better not look at the Voigtländer 28mm f1.5 Nokton Vintage Line lens thread; it might be harmful to your credit card.

All the best,
Mike
While I can withstand anything but temptation, I'm safe when it comes to the 28mm Nokton. I'm just not a big fan of 28mm focal length. Not that I don't own a few, it's just that I like jumping from a 35mm to a 24mm or 25mm. Today my favorite is the lovely Zeiss 25/2.8 Biogon ZM. Mmm-mmm, good.

LOL! You guys are funny as heck. :)

I'm also somewhat immune from the Nokton 28/1.5 siren song ... I had a Summicron-M 28/2 which I thought was great ... but too good! ... and I sold it for a Summaron-M 28/5.6 which I think is about as perfect a 28mm lens as I've ever owned, albeit not particularly fast. But I only rarely use such a wide angle lens wide open anyway, and the Summaron at f/5.6 is already superb.

Naaah, let me set Dogman off on another Holy Grail ... The SMC-Pentax-L 43mm f/1.9 Special.

Olive Tree Grove - Santa Clara 2024 :: Leica M4-2+Pentax-L 43mm, Ilford HP5

They only made about 2200 of them. I found one, sans dedicated finder, some years ago at a (relative) bargain price and absolutely love it. It's so good I've had thoughts of finding another in order to obtain the finder as well. :rolleyes:
