Voigtlander LH-1 hood for Leica, but not Nikon mount lens

Can anyone tell me why the Voigtlander LH-1 hood will not fit the appropriate CV lenses in Nikon S mount? I'd love to buy one and fool with it to see if it could be made to work on my CV 21, unless there is some compelling reason why it couldn't be done.

Sorry, I think I deleted (instead of edited) my last post.

"Due to the female threads on this shade which fit the external male threads on the Voigtlander 21/4, 25/4, and 28/3.5 Leica Screw mount Voigtlander lenses, the LH-1 will fit only these lenses, NOT the same Voigtlander lenses in Nikon Rangefinder mount, nor any Leica made lenses."
