Bébèrt - I've never seen anyone with such a long list of kit!! The Nokton 35mm f1.2 is a superb addition though, I hope you come to like it as much as I do.

One reason I really like using the Nokton 35/1.2 as my 'do everything 35mm' is when using Tri-X EI 400, I can set the shutter speed of the M5 at 1/1000sec and forget about it, simply adjust the aperture and pretty never run out of light until I enter a dark building, simply keep opening the aperture until I hit f1.2. Of course, there are times, I will bring down the shutter speed to gain more depth-of-field, but for quick, hurried shooting it works like a charm. At least for me.
That is all for now!

Martin,
I like it alot! I am always on the lookout for smokers, with wispy, swirling stuff around their heads. Always make for a great photo.

I am wondering, how much does this lense block the viewfinder with the "normal" shade on it? I need a 35 for my M and I am looking for a 1.2, Ultron 1.7 or a 2.5 Skopar...

Not to much blocking of the vieuwfinder with the normal shade. Perhaps 1/6 the with or without shade.

The Nokton is big and makes my M6 front heavy, but it's been a revelation for me - the creaminess of an older, fast Leica lens combined with the sharpness of a modern design. I don't know that a comparison to the 35 2.5 is fair - I think you could pretty easily justify having both, the Nokton for its dreamy signature and the Skopar for its sharpness in an ultra-compact housing.
I've had the Nokton for a few months and love it...

I thought I had done enough research on RFF and then got the lens from Cameraquest. After shooting around and making comparisons with my 35 cron ASPH, I just can't persuade myself keeping it. Bulky and too heavy on MP, even on my R-d1s...
Finally decide to part with this gem...
