I really like this one!!!
You said your 35 1.2 broke, if you don't mind, how did it happen?

Hello j.scooter and thanks for the compliment.......I have the chrome version and it is built really good, and I have never had any problems with it, but it got the "wobbles" on my last trip and I can't figure out how or why it happened......anyways, I did a focus test in Yangon with the lens and the focus was way off.....I have about 5 or 6 rolls of unfocused photos now because I did not really notice the wobbles soon enough, for some reason I thought it was the hood that was loose, but after closer inspection I realized it was the lens......

it is getting fixed now and I should have it back next week.....

cheers, michael

if it is the same thing that happened to my 2.5/35 skopar, it's an incredibly easy fix I think...

Quite beautiful really...

hello Simon, I will know in the next couple of days when I get it back if it is back to "normal" and works as the same as it did before........I am really missing that lens now.....

here are a couple that I took before it broke on me.....I love riding trains in Myanmar and taking photos.......good times

Simon... Just curious but what was the fix for yours? I'd rather not have to send it out in the future if possible...

on the skopar, there's two rings with two little notches in it around the back element, just turn the outer one clockwise. apparently you can fixate it with a little bit of carefully applied loctite. that did it for mine at least.

@Michael: I can't wait until the weather clears up here so I can start using colour again! Might be heading to SE Asia in the Summer and HK in October as well. Did you go through Voigtlander to get it repaired? Was it out of warranty as well?

Hi, I went to the local voigtlander shop/distributor here in Bangkok and they fixed it. He told me that there were not any broken screws or anything broken inside, it just needed to be 'tightened' up.....it feels really solid now and it focuses good so I am happy....i am assuming that it is out of warranty because I have had it for a couple of years.....
Cheers, Michael
