Does anyone have an image of this lens mounted on an M4-P or black chrome Leica? Just want to check the size and look.
The chrome version really looks nice on a chrome M, but is sold out. It does look to be a HUGE lens though.

I have succumbed. I have just placed an order for one with Stephen. I thought GAS was gone but I was wrong...

I sold mine and bought a 35 lux asph. I mostly liked the lens except for the weight and the bullseye bokeh as in this shot......
I noticed that kind of bullseye bokeh in my shots too, but it's not that pronounced. Could it be that some lenses show it more than other ones?

I've never seen these 'bullseyes' with mine :O

You guys are killin' me. I had this lens for a long while, but rarely used it. From the images in this thread, it may be the best-performing 35mm lens ever made. Maybe one of the top lenses of any FL, in any format. Perfect blend of contrast, sharpness and delicious bokeh. I no longer have an m-mount camera, but.... No, i can't go back. I can't!

Big Nokton has a hint of swirling bokeh, nice!

Wow, by following this thread I am beginning to love this lens very much.
Could I get some advise from the users here?
1. How well is this lens combination with M8?
2. Is there any user of this lens faces common problem with this lens?
3. Is the lens heavy to be a walk around lens on an M8?
4. Any back focusing issue?
I would appreciate if users could give some comments to help me to decide whether I should go for this lens for my M8 to be my only lens for street photos.
Thank you

I don't have an M8, but I know that the first production run of the Nokton had issues mounting on the M8. this apparently could be fixed by Cosina for free(?) and is no longer the case with later runs. I know of quite a few people who've used it on their digital M and liked it a lot (some say it balances even better on the digital Ms because of the thicker body); never had back- or front-focusing issues, nor have I ever heard serious complains about it. I also guess some people would mistake their uncalibrated rangefinder or vague focusing for back/front focus

This has been my exclusive lens on my NY trip last week. Where I really liked the lens previously I now pretty much adore it.

This thread could run and run....
..... and rightly so. I love my Nokton too.
Like everyone else, I wish it were smaller, but it gives such gorgeous results.

I have just received the lens, will try it out on the M8.
It does looks solid & heavy, I am not sure I will get use to its heaviness or not

The image quality makes up for the heaviness, its Beautiful at F1.2 and super sharp at F2
Not sure about anyone else but wide open it has a bit of a noctilux look to it, or is that just wishful thinking, Super shallow DOF, creamy bokeh and vignetting

That's pretty much how I think of this lens as well. It even has some swirly bokeh to it, like the f/1 noct.
