I have recently quickly tested an ltm version against a canon 50 1.4, and they were about the same level of distortion, and the canon isn't really great in that field...

My LTM 50/1.5 works very well for me. Doesn't the new 50 have some optical tweaks and improved multi-coating? Very nice photos Roland.
