The bokeh is really smooth but not oddly hazy like some Voigtlanders. I think I prefer this rendering to the much older f1.4 Nokton.

It's a wonderful lens for so many reasons...including this. I picked up my copy, used, from Cameraquest. They seem to have a good supply on their used site...which indicates that people are buying the lens, not liking it (for whatever reason) and returning it. To each their own. Can't imagine what more you'd want out of a fast 35.

I use the older Canon 35mm 1.5 ltm. I am sure that the CV lens is a better lens overall.
