Voigtlander Prominent question

I picked up a Voigtlander Prominent with Nokton 50mm f/1.5 lens at the local flea market Saturday.
Overall it was a pretty easy camera to figure out except for one thing.
On the backside of the top plate to the right of the rear viewfider eyepiece is a small flat horizontal bar located inside an indentation. Does anybody know what its purpose is?

This is a film release key, which is used if you reload a partly exposed fim. It allows you to feed film through the camera until you reach the previously exposed frames. Personally never use it, put another film in. Enjoy the Prominent, it's quirky but addictive.
