Voigtlander Waist-Level 35mm Finder

Any forum members handled the Voigtlander Waist-Level 35mm Finder? I am curious as to whether it is a true waist-level ... as in, you can hold the camera at waist-level and simply look down from chest level (with your eyes). Or do you actually have to lower your eyes down to the actual finder to see through it. The photos seem to indicate a relatively small finder eyepiece (as opposed to a small flat screen), thus indicating that it is not a 'true' waist-level, but more of a 90 degree finder. Any thoughts or experiences would be greatly appreciated 🙂

Andrew Nemeth doesn't seem to think its a true waist level. Please see his Leica FAQ page on waist-level finders linked to below. The CV finder is about 3/4 down the page.
