I really like this combo and will keep posting 35 v1 photos here. Share yours if you have some !

Roland.

Little snow on Shasta. I suppose its late summer, though.

Don't recommend attempting to climb it this time of year. Rockfall is almost certain to end your climbing days.

Looks like a pleasant camping trip. My old backyard.

Interesting you should say this. I was suprised how dry it was ... Shasta lake was basically empty (2 weeks ago). I'm worried we'll have a very dry 2018, feels like water is still being mismanaged.

Looking very good (and awfully dry), Roland, some nice landscapes with a great lens. I still have one of these, my first RF lens for a used Leica M2 in the 60's. I had DAG code it and adjust it for best digital focus, and it's been used on several digital RFs since... a favorite lens. Expect you'll continue to enjoy yours!

Very nice shots. 🙂

This is one of the sharpest lenses around. Some people don't like it because it is expensive for the vintage, or it's over priced. Some don't like it because it's hard to get. Other people think it's not that sharp wide open... I don't have any of those troubles.

V1 has unique character unlike another Summicron 35. Summaron 2.8 is a POS compared. 3.5 Summaron is better but mine keeps fogging up.

V1 was sold when I went digital and now I have V4 that lives on my M8 and an ASPH for full frame.

Wish I had the V1 as I am doing more film now. Made a nice combo with Rigid 50 and 90 2.8 Elmarit.

How would you go about justifying this sweeping condemnation? I have owned both these lenses for many years, and can't imagine where you are getting this from! I would never part with either, even though I've added the version IV, the 35 Summicron ASPH, and the 35 Summilux ASPH.
