We discovered that there are lots and lots of street cats in Greece and Turkey, and most of them love tourists.

Our tour-guide told us about this cat's play for attention so that we wouldn't be worried about him. As soon as our group walked by, he woke up from dozing in the sun and instantly assumed this sad pose with his head "stuck" in the metal railing.

You can "save" him from his plight, buy him some cat treats conveniently sold in the shop a few feet away, and everyone walks away happy!
