PS this probably isn't the place to ask, but how do I post a photo so that it doesn't show up as thumbnail size ? I've never been able to work it out..

Basically you have to upload the image to another site (like Flickr or PhotoBucket) and then use its URL on that site to embed the image in the post on this forum.
Here's how you do it.................
When you open the new text box (like the one I am using to type this answer) there are several formatting boxes at the top.
One of them (the 5th from the right in the bottom row) looks like a sun peaking over a hill - or a fried egg (I cna never decide).
Click on that little symbol and it opens a sub box that allows you to either type or to paste the URL into it. That should then result in the image appearing normally in the post after you click "submit reply".
