w/nw columns, pillars and colonnades ... post yours

This is the Manhattan Bridge Colonnade, at Canal and Bowery, the entrance to the Manhattan Bridge. I love the structure, but I've never been able to get a photo of it that I really like. Every time I've had the opportunity it's been sucky weather, sucky light, too many cars, too many people, distractions such as those orange traffic barrels, etc.

The first is an afternoon shot with a sunbeam and enough light reflected from about everything to fill in the shadows. The second is on an overcast morning with the inward-bound traffic and surprisingly clear of passers-by.
