The first thing I like to do with a new lens is to point it at the sun and see how it flares. The Jupiter 8 is no exception. With a yellow filter and a little contrast added later, I think it fared pretty well all considered. Leica M4-2 Rollei Retro 80s/Rodinal

Canon 7, Canon 50/1.4, Tri-X 400TX @ EI400, 1/125 sec, f/8. Developed with Fomadon R09 1+25 for 8 minutes. Agitation for the first 60 sec and then 10 sec/2 agitations every minute.
The negative was photographed with my Canon EOS 30D.
The sunlight sparkling on the tall grass looks to me like fireflies at night even though it was a rather bright late afternoon.
