W/NW: Dogs

My first dog --Avra-- passed away 3 months after my mom did...
5 years later, my (girlfriend at that time) wife asked for a golden retriever, and after a year or so we got Maya(4.5 yo now)!
Last year we set up a litter and we also kept one of the puppies, Mauve!
As I am writing to you, Maya sleeps just next to my feet on the bed, and Mauve is just next to my wife Fani.
...we have no (human) kids so far...

I can not imagine our life without them!
P.S. I hope our bed description has brought you a smile!

We had her for 14 years, our daughter never new a time without her.

We have another American Eskimo, like her, who's 7 and you are right. It's never easy to say good-bye.

Many tears were shed at our house last night.

I know this pain. I am sorry for your loss.
There are extremely few people who ever treated me as kindly as my animal friends have.
