Bar mascot or bouncer? Newport Oregon, RX1

Your decision and your grief take precedence. But you made a beautiful portrait of a precious being, and it was a gift I am sorry no longer to see I speak as one who has posted here on RFF a double portrait of my mother 5 minutes dead with my brother the Zen monk saying the Buddhist prayers for the departed over her.

Take care.

Thanks for the comments Robert. I looked back through your posts and shed a tear at the photo of your mother and brother. It's a hard thing posting images like this, but I'm a firm believer in facing and talking about death. Too many people seem to shy away from this important subject or speak about it in hushed tones. Neither does anyone any good.

Anyway, inspired by your courage and good sense, I've decided to re-post the photo of our dear departed 'Button'.

Last week we made the decision to begin looking for another rescue dog in the New Year, most likely another Whippet...or two if the missus gets her way 🙂

Thanks again for all the positive replies to my first post. In their small way they helped me through a pretty rough couple of weeks.

Lovely ….
When I lost Lucy my Cocker Spaniel I soon after got another , Poppy.
It was difficult at first but I`m pleased that I did.
Oh and then I got another , Lettice 🙂

This is the balletomaniac in a photograph above flying from its humans’ back deck. Here s/he was resting briefly from our play. Humans at parties can be tiresome, but if a dog is there I know I can enjoy its company.
