If your favorite pickles came from a jar off the top shelf of the supermarket, they were probably made from Kirby cucumbers. One of the sources of specialty Kirby cucumbers is Long & Scott Farms in Zellwood, Florida just down the road from me. These cucumbers are harvested by Mexican farmworkers who come to the US on temporary agricultural worker visas. They work like robots on overdrive since they are paid by production and not hours. At the end of a year, they pay US income taxes and must return to Mexico. We hope we will have good pickles for 4 more years.

So pleased to see your kids like to climb. Mine did until he went to university.... doesn't seem interested anymore. Too bad cuz he "stole" my best shoes when he left 😮

I'm happy they like to climb, too, it's become a family activity. We just got back from a Thanksgiving trip to Red Rock, had a blast. Pretty soon, my son might start stealing my shoes, too. 😅
