These are two helmets from my past - fortunately they worked for both looks and fit, but now my approach to helmets has changed.

Yes it’s my highly-modified ‘66 (sold in 2018). I had it for 14 years.

Not much traffic where this was taken. Clearwater or similar lights with yellow lenses seem to do better with being seen than anything the rider wears. Well, that's just my opinion after sixty-one years of riding. Your mileage may vary.

This was my first Vincent twin in 1977 in Virginia while I was just getting out of the Navy. A series C Rapide. The helmet was a cheapie I bought in high school in 1966 when I had a Hodaka. It probably would have disintegrated if it was really needed. I still have it. I suppose it increased visibility somewhat. I finally upgraded to an expensive but Snell approved full face type later. The Ford van was my wife's daily driver and what we hauled the bike around in to rallies and camping. The color scheme matched the Vincent. We paneled it in baby blue carpeting. Not such a great idea with a leaky old Brit m'cycle.
