Wow, while digging in old files I ran across this one and it's a selfie to boot. The year, 1967 in back of the place I rented in Waverly an eastern suburb of Sydney. I'd spend the better part of a year doing research at Sydney uni and the 350 Yamaha was my transport. Always regretted not buying the Black Shadow that was for sale at the same shop and shipping it home when I left.

This would have been shot with Canon Ftb.

Interesting adaptation -- what looks to be a CB400f engine in a SuperHawk frame/tank/seat/fenders and other bits. Forks look to be from a 400f as well. No idea what the shocks are from.

Actually scratch that -- looks like a 400f with SuperHawk parts. Frame looks to be a 400f.

I kind of knew something wasn't 'right' about it as I didn't remember there ever being a bike like that offered back in the day. It looked pretty 'stock' to me so I took the shot of it.

At the time the z1 or z900 could not be sold in Japan as 750cc was the legal limit so they brought this out.
