Musician and photographer fail as auto technicians.

This is my friend and neighbor Brian Blade. Brian is one of the world's outstanding drummers, with his own Fellowship Band or Wayne Shorter's Quartet or in the late Chick Corea's Trio or any of a multitude of recording venues and concerts. Look him up online and check out some of his videos...amazing drummer...amazing musician and composer.

Here, Brian and I are trying to start his vintage International Travelall, affectionally called "The Beast", after he returned from one of his frequent overseas tours. We failed miserably. Batteries go down and other stuff happens when the vehicle sets up for a few weeks at a time. We are not automobile technicians. Oh well, at least I can take pictures and Brian can beat on drums.

Originally titled “Guarding the Musicians”. Taken just outside of Musée d’Orsay in Paris circa 2015 using a Leica MP with a 35 Summicron v.2 attached on Ektar film (converted).

Regular, wandering gendarmerie guarding, in this case, the street musicians entertaining passers by..

He's been a huge inspiration for me and I love the parallels between said activities that he points out in few interviews floating around the internet.
