The fellow with the guitar, Joey, was described as if there were forty bands in town he'd be in thirty-eight. In the twenty plus years I have lived here he has been playing everywhere and is pretty good. This band, The Quirks, is not a bunch of fresh-faced kids. They are a bunch of good guys.

At a recent concert in a (very) poorly lit venue with overhead spots. Exposure guessing was quite a challenge. Leica CL, Summilux 50, v2, HP5+ at 1600 ASA, developed in Blazinal 1:50, 24 min at 22C, scanned on an Epson V550.

Two snapshots of jazz musicians in a local joint. Incredibly difficult lighting conditions, real harsh overhead spotlights. I did rely to a good extent on the internal light meter of my Leica CL... Summilux 50, v2, HP5+ at 1600, Blazinal 1:50, Epson V550.

Charlie at the piano, a half-century earlier. Camera: likely a Praktica. Lens: forgotten. Film: Tri-X @ 1600 in Acufine, was my go-to for low light situations at the time, so probably that combination.
