The bird image was from an assignment for a magazine cover and is believed to be the last passenger pigeon. The pigeon is property of the national park service.
I'm not going to lie: using the world's heaviest 135mm lens(*) on a rangefinder with 100 ISO film and trying to photograph birds is far more difficult than I thought it'd be.
Thankfully, this goose was enough of a poser that I got away with it.

This is one of those technically bad photos that I love anyway. Backlit, portrait mode on my iPhone focused on my dog's nose and not her eyes, and I had to process it more than I like, but it captures the cute "can we play now?" look on her face when I took it.
