Thanks strangeluv ... this is my next door neighbour's beast. He's huge and I've nicknamed him 'the black hole' because he seems to suck in light and just photographs as a huge looming silhouette ninety percent of the time ... in pure defiance of sunny sixteen logic!

Photographing him from behind a fence is the way to go because if he can get to you he'll amble over and start licking you like some enormous puppy! 😀
