As much as I prefer la France profonde (that France that is not Paris) from living experience I also cannot help but be delighted by shots of Paris. Sheesh, how can it be possible not to like Paris? Even folks who hate the French love Paris. Come on.

They say if one sits in a sidewalk cafe on the Champs Élysée long enough everyone one has ever known will pass before them. I would very much like to test that theory. And how many cities have a main drag called The Elysian Fields? And a section called Mount Parnassus? Just hints about the place, just little hints.

I post this link to a YT video, Un Rendezvous, a short 8 minute film by Claude LeLouch about Paris. It is quite exciting. If you watch it to its end you will understand a bit more about Paris. The short film is as it happened, not sped up, edited or tricked. But the car was not a Ferrari, it was a M-B 300.
