Agreed! Your photos provide a good sense of local life and culture. Particularly interesting in that long ago I had a girlfriend from Saigon staying with a local family here in Washington state. We conversed in a mixture of English and French. My French teacher claimed I had developed an odd accent of Vietnamese-tinged French on top of the English accent.
 
Thanks for the compliments, Rick and Doug. It is a vibrant city that is not always the easiest to live in but always provides excellent photo opportunities. People are friendly and open and do not freak-out when you carry a camera. Up to the mid-'70s French was the language of the urban elite. The post-'75 generation does not speak French any longer. Instead, it's all about English and in recent years hundreds of English language schools have opened their doors. The students are very eager to learn: whenever I go for a walk in a nearby park, groups of students will approach me and ask me to speak English with them. Cheers, OtL

Daytona Beach, FL Boot Hill Saloon during Bike Week 1973 - Scan from a print my sister has as several years later I got frustrated with my photography and destroyed all prints and negatives after selling all my gear. That enabled me to restart fresh 20 years later.
