Early morning, 28mm slight crop, f5.6 at 1/30th from 'the hip' through a window, so not sharp. "Revival Pictorialism' maybe...?

Before reading the dictionary definition of pictorialism in the OP, I had understood it to be a deliberately romantic portrayal of reality. Jarring elements are absent, but I don’t think that necessarily implies post-exposure manipulation: you can just leave things out, as you would when painting. So I imagine these 3 snaps from my iPhone would probably be classed as pictorialism, even though apart from resizing they are exactly as captured:

Looking at the images in this thread convinces me that there is great misunderstanding of the Pictorialist movement.
