W/NW: Raise your glass for Jon Claremont

I like to think that Jon would approve of all of the photographs here, and that people get out and use the cameras for what they were meant for. I thought the Mother/Daughter shot fit quite well, and certainly put it back. I think Stewart was giving out a compliment, not a judgement of the other photo's.

I did not want anyone to think that I show disrespect to Jon. It is just a photo of two tourists enoying quality Mother-Daughter time.

Stewart,
I removed the second posted photo by me even though it shows two tourists [mother and daughter] having a drink.

Raid, I just spotted this, I'm sorry I didn't make myself clear, I wasn't criticising at all it was just those shots just stood out as being in Jon's style. Not that others were not appropriate in any way.

with regrets, Stewart

Hi Stewart,
Of course, no harm was done. I know exactly what you mean.

Greetings,

Thanks to all that have made this thread a real tribute.

It's become a real "Raise your camera for Jon Claremont".

A bit late in coming, but I didn't see the thread last year...

I owe a lot to the man and would have liked him to stay around.

It's interesting that I didn't see this thread either until today, but as I just posted in the Picks of the Week in the Gallery- Jon was the man there. A glass raised high and a toast to him.

Good shot Stewart!...you certainly captured Jon's style....His body may no longer be with us, but his spirit certainly lives on....May this thread live on as well!
