We went to see the sunrise in the Monument Valley. The local driver/guide was very well prepared - I think they have a lot of tourists like me. I only had a very small tripod (I travelled light) so he gave me a decent tripod. He was also very instructive as to where are the good “positions” for scenic shots And he nailed the timing of the sunrise. Not my type of shot, but out of respect for hard working Navajo guides I post those rocks (Rolleiflex 2.8D, Kodak Portra 160):

Wow, that's quite an image, Dd38!

Mine is at sea level, Roberts Bay on Vancouver Island. There's the remains of an old dock sticking out of the water making a Pi sign. It makes a good photo pun (the worst kind) Not pie in the sky, but Pi in the sea........ ;-)
