RD1 and 28/1.9 ultron

RD1 and 35/2 ASPH. This was a little harder with touch focusing since the lens was wide open. Focus was a little short, on her shoulder.

man, that ultron is sharp.

Very. In fact I chose not to apply any sharpening to the files since it made them too sharp and unnatural for my taste.

In this situation not even brought the camera to eye level, from the hip , Nikon S with CV 21... glad it's like autofocus with this Lens!!!

Some gorgeous shots here.

This was a QL17 GIII, probably HP5 @800 in Diafine. Total grabshot. I have a tendency to prefocus when walking into tighter situations (stores) so that helped. The kid just dropped his turtle and went after it.

Some from Chicago, Last Summer

Some from Chicago, Last Summer

Camera: 35mm "Tazzycam"

Lens: Fixed focus, plastic meniscus, f 11(?)

Shutter speed: Who knows?

(Think of it as a 35mm rangefinder, with no rangefinder, [or focus, shutter speed or aperture control, for that matter . . .] :p )

Film: Fuji C-41, EI 400.

I love hip shots. ;)

Nice shots, everyone.

I used to use my honking great Nikon F4s for hip shooting. It even had a cable release socket bottom left of the back, perfect for hanging the camera over the shoulder and firing the cable from my pocket.

I used to shoot in manual, spot meter off my palm, open up a bit, and lock the mirror up. Small wonder I sold it for an RF.

I've used some cameras that the average photographer would probably be too embarassed to use, but there is no way I would walk around with this thing! You have some guts :)

Thank you! No one ever thinks you're trying to take pictures with it, either. ;)
