I just took these an hour ago - DC area is buried, and it's still coming down. Everything taken with R-D1 and 40mm Summicron.

the blizzard of the century in the Northeast (or, so said the TV weather folks)... that dumped NEARLY TWO INCHES.... a lot of hype, but not much snow.

Others have used digital, so I don't feel bad posting a 6x4.5 shot. I shot this in SE Michigan over the holidays.

I have several rolls of film ready to go in for processing. For when we get out of here! Maybe by Tuesday. I had the new F3HP out in it on the last snow. Will take it out tomorrow as well.

Rotten luck on my part. Wednesday had some of the most beautiful snow I have ever seen. At 6:30 I was being readied for arthroscopy in my right knee. Friday night and it is snowing again. Not as pretty, but much deeper. Still recovering from the arthroscopy. I can't even help the wife shovel snow. She has fibromyalgia and can't do it all. Maybe my son-in-law can get out and still have enough energy to come here. If not, I will be on the lookout for neighborhood boys with snowshovels and empty wallets.
I envy you Brian. Well maybe not. You know, if you don't get out before Tuesday, you still might not get out. They are predicting another few inches Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.
This global warming really sucks.
Hope you feel better soon. Yeah- and I heard about the next batch coming in. A few inches of snow, I can handle with the electric leaf blower and a LONG extension cord. Two+ Feet, I'm paying to have the driveway plowed. I did it myself for the December Blizzard and that was enough. I'll buy a snowblower once the places have them back in stock.
