Hey Lynn,
This beach series you've been posting over on Flickr are VERY nice! But... unless that guy in the upper left is looking at you and thinking "What's that pervert doing taking pictures of young women?", this one won't really get you any The Look points.

OK you people... I've got to get this thread back on track! The definition of The Look is perfectly defined by Honus' image posted on 01-27-2011. In other words, you need to include someone (or possibly some animal) looking at you and saying with their eyes "Hey... stop taking my picture!" OK? We're clear now?

Surely you meant "What's that guy doing taking pictures of me"? I also liked the fact that the guy in the foreground has his girl, but is looking at anotherHey Lynn,

MAYBE this is The Look. Depends on if he’s pissed that you’re taking his picture.

It's funny. I seem to have the facility of being able to look at an image and intuit whether it was taken somewhere in Australia. Not only that I can quite often get where in Australia it was taken. My success rate I would say is maybe 85%.
Something to do with the "look" of trees - shape etc and foliage or color of the landscape sometimes plays a part though in this photo it's more the shape of the headland in the distance and the look of the sand on the beach perhaps (fine and not as white as in a tropic island or as dark as in some parts of the world that have more volcanic sand.......) I suppose how the people look play a part too - their physical shape and how they dress etc. The instant I saw it my first thought was - that looks like Sydney. Without even really having to think about it.
Then I saw Lynnb's name and thought, yep that's Sydney!
Odd - I wonder if other people do this too or if I have some weird antipodean super power "spidey sense".
No challenges please - I fold under pressure.
