W/NW The Streets of Yokohama!

Glad to see you back, Mike. Missed you here. Got any photos from the trip?

................

Thank you, Dogman, it's good to be back. I took 178 pictures and I'm sorting through them now. The number of photos will probably be cut in half after I separate the keepers from the clunkers. We spent a lot of time walking on various nature trails. This is an unedited picture of my wife from one of our walks.

Mike, I always enjoy your images, not only for the main subjects, but for streets around them, often finding something of interest. In this picture for example, the advertising board top right and the drawing of an open palm. It reminded me of a local establishment that offered to read your palm, your head (phrenology), tarot cards, runes, tea cups etc, and it got me to thinking, why is it always a woman running such establishments? 🤔

Hello KeithH, your comment is sincerely appreciated.

Maybe a long retired closet Kempeitai, this one. Means business, not to be crossed or trifled with. Old old Japanese. There once was so many of them. Now mostly gone. Or staying home and watching YouTube videos on harakiri...

Always the gals are much nicer to look at, but the older folks have a certain - whatever. The dignity of age and much life experience, maybe. It shows in their faces.

Super good image as always.
