WACOM Tablet....pens?

Hello,
Quick question I cant find an answer to: I have a Wacom Intuos2 6x8, my pen crapped out so I order a Classic Pen from BH, its an Intuos3 pen, and when I touch down on my Intuos2, it just opens a menu (Save, Cut, Copy, etccc) Its VERY annoying, I was told these pens were usable on Intuos2 tablets, was I misinformed? Anyone else use a Wacom that may know?

I don't know if they are backwards compatible (according to Wacom's site - they are not) - But perhaps the buttons are just mapped incorrectly - can you open your preferences and see if it's just calling the wrong commands for the pressure tip?

I've always ordered replacement pens/nibs, etc. directly from Wacom, and have tried to make sure I use the same generation - Intous2 here as well.
