waiting for the negatives to dry...

I souped two rolls of Tri-X in Rodinal (1+25). First roll was EI 400, second EI 1000. I'm looking for some grain and am curious about this combination. I think the negatives look good, but I'll know for sure once I scan them tomorrow. This waiting period is as bad as waiting for gear to arrive in the mail.

Anyone else soup some film tonight?

Souped my day's roll of Delta 100 in 1+3 ID-11 this afternoon and scanned while watching some evening TV.
Came out quite well I think.

Developed APX100 (120) in Rodinal 1+50+C on saturday.
Shot with my good ol'Jsolette 6x6 (thanks rbrian)

1+50 has been my standard for a while, but adding C really adds a new dimension to APX100.

Most of the grain is probably scanner pixels. It was scanned at 2400 (I'm using an old Minolta F-2900).

It's remarkably fine considering it's 1+3. It speaks volumes about the grain structure of epixial-grain films in general, and Delta 100 in particular. Many folks consider Delta 100 to be the finest grain film out there.

It is. I was quite impressed. It almost makes me want to try some Perceptol on it. By the way, I had similar results using Rodinal at 1:50 for 14 minutes.

Yes, it's 35mm. The roll was shot in my Bessa R. The fence was shot with a CV 35/2.5 and the lens used for the door was a Jupiter 8. Both were probably f/11.

I shot 10 rolls of Neopan 400 on Saturday at a street festival. I processed it all Sunday morning in Rodinal 1:25. I do not have a film scanner- I am really about as computer dumb as they come. However, I will be doing quite a bit of printing in my darkroom in the next few days. I have never even scanned photos of any kind to post on any website anywhere. I really am behind the times. At times I feel like I am a 1000 years old. It's an adventure for me just to be able to post on forums. At least I can do that! 😀

Developed four rolls of Tri-X in Rodinal 1+50 the other day, scanned two of them (some shots ended up on my photoblog: this, this and this).

I have a backlog of about ten rolls, been having it for months, seems I develop in about the same frequency I shoot. Perhaps it is time to upgrade from a 2 reel Paterson drum to a bigger? (Or quit my dayjob ...).

These, unfortunately, were not my best shots so I cannot offer critical analysis of my results. So I guess that's not very helpful.

Just souped two Efke KB 100's in Rodinal 1+50, they're drying at the moment. Often a great combination. Look forward to feeding them to the Minolta Scan Dual IV.

Peter; I looked at some of your photos and Liked what you are doing. I left some comment for you

What is your opinion of Delta films? I'm still shooting Tri-X( I just restarted with B&W film) I was looking yesterday to see different films available. I'll probably shoot Tri-X for available light and push it to about 2400 to start and process in dektol. I like the grain. I used to shoot kodak 2475 high speed film at 3200 - 4000 ASA Great in Dektol. I looked at Blue Police yesterday and know absolutely nothing about it. I may get some to try out.
