Wal-Mart Fuji Superia X-tra 400

My quest to use up all my old film before I buy new has been struck a blow by the discovery of an unused roll of the above in the case of a camera I've been given. It has the instruction printed on it to return to Walmart for processing so I assume that's where it came from.
So.... finally getting to the question... anyone know roughly when Walmart stopped selling the stuff, so I have a clue how old it might be?

They're still selling it today (although this is almost certainly the rebranded Kodak version):

FUJIFILM Fujicolor Superia X-TRA 400 Color Negative Film (35mm Roll Film, 36 Exposures, 3-Pack)

Whether any particular store location stocks it is a different matter. The last time I was at a Wal-Mart, they had it in stock.

Look carefully at the box. The last one I got said made in Japan, not made in USA.

Interesting, I may try to post a photo of the canister. Unfortunately no box to check.

Frustratingly no indication as to date or place of manufacture - it was tucked into the case in its little plastic pot, box no doubt long gone.

Well, it seems I lucked out on this. I shot it in the camera it came with, and when I took it to Snappy Snaps the women at the counter recognised the age of the logo, and gave it special attention, including hand-editing the scans as the negs were so dark. They've mostly come out OK, though I wish I'd spotted that the date back was turned on!
