Beautiful shots. Of course viewing anything on line, it is difficult to judge the performance of the lens. How did it look to you. I don't think I have had a Tamron lens, but used to hear good of them. I also don't have an FX-2, but have an FX-3 that I bought about the same time as I got my ill-fated Contax 139Q. I got it as a backup. It is now a backup to my FX-103 and Contax 167mt. Both good cameras as long as they have battery power, but paperweights if they don't.
How do you like the combination?
The shots are well composed and beautiful with the snow. We didn't get any where I live in Northern Virginia, despite the early warnings of up to 4 inches. I guess you folks down there grabbed on and wouldn't let go.

It's a nice combination, Herd. I've always liked Tamrons, ever since I dumped the kit lens that came with my N90s, and replaced it with two Tamrons. I would like to find the proper hood for this lens (59FH), and that's about the only thing the outfit needs. I do have an ML 50/1.9, and an ML 70-210/4.5 to go with it, but didn't feel like changing lenses in the cold.
This is my first Yashica SLR that was in operable condition. One I got just as a parts mule (TL Electro) , and on the other two (TL Electro-X ITS) I need to swap some parts to get one good one out of them. Then I found a nice Penta J with the clip-on meter. I need to try that one next.
Thanks for the comments. I looked at a snowfall map this morning, and there were some places southwest of here that got lots more than we did, because they got the cold air sooner. Those three and a half days of rain before the snow didn't help with the accumulations either.
