Thoughts to his family and friends. I love his photos; I’ve always enjoyed travelling by train and these are so evocative.
But I don’t understand where basic fact checking has gone in modern journalism - if he was born in 1943 the oldest he can be is 78, not 79 as stated in the article.

Not a fact checking as much as a translation error. In China, people are born aged one.
I don't think I've seen his photos, will look now.
