Warning: Unexpected character in input: blah blah blah

and also, and it could be my fault, though I don't understand how I did it. I find I am having to log in regularly, even if I leave the RFDR window up in my web browser all the time. I used to not have to do this.

I have a mac running 10.3 and I have an SBC DSL connection, so I am constantly "on". No dialup. Safari is my web browser.

phototone, I'm also running 10.3 and Safari on a cable modem.. I never have to re-login.. whether I quit Safari or even restart my Mac.. maybe you need to select some "keep me logged in" option somewhere

Hi,

First post, clear your cookies. Worked for FireFox/W2K @ work, haven't seen the problem here at home on Safari yet.

Update: Just ran into the problem here on Safari, dump the RFF cookies and things seem to work from then on.

phototone: Click the 'Remember Me?' check box by the login box, and make sure you are accepting cookies in your browser.

I get the unexpected character error once in a while; but if I immediately refresh, it loads fine.

Mac running Tiger 10.4.1

ha!, just got it when I hit the "Post Quick Reply" button to submit last message.

I've got this message a few times, normally when I've been reading long threads. I guess over time the links get confused which sometimes sorts it out by a refresh. Otherwise I just restart the browser. Usually using firefox on XP.

If on IE, go to "Tools", "Internet Options", "General" tab, and select "Delete Cookies". This only deletes cookies in the temp folder.

Working pretty well for me so far.
