Just watched Jiro Dreams of Sushi , and I must say the movie was excellent.

Amazing what people can do when they dedicate their life to a certain task and always try to improve on it..

I watched this last night, very good recommendation to be put up!
It ties very well into photography as well, loved every bit of it. Great narration too.

Highly recommended.

Cannot, or should not? ;)

Thanks for the recommendation. Regarding work I'm a more jack-of-all-trades-master-of-none type, and I enjoyed seeing the polar opposite with Jiro.

P.S. Nice avatar!

hi MikeL,

I see you like the hit the driving range as well huh :)

anyways the thing that really hit me in the entire movie was realizing near the end that the time Jiro was awarded the Michelin award those two years he never served sushi to the Michelin tester.. It was his right hand guy who deserved the nomination for the award whom made the sushis for the Michelin people , and yet still both of them were extremly respectful and mature about it after they split up. Amazing how code of respect is in japan...

When I was in high school i bought this book about an ancient japanese samurai respect code book and I was amazed at how they are so much ahead of us regular humans in terms of respect, dedication and most of all loyalty..
