We have the winner !

Well done, Remy. I thought that building looked familiar, I was staying in a hotel on that street just a few weeks ago 🙂. Subliminal message follows.

shoot film, shoot film, shoot film, use ZI, use ZI

RML,
I've always like that shot, since the first RFF book. Congrats and keep on capturing that slice of light to share with us.
😀

Congratulations to the winner for his great shot. My name is Craig and I took number 12, the shot of the guy laying in the street with the Mohawk and the two girls in leopard skirs walking in front of him. This was taken in July, 2001 at the Love Parade in Berlin. I was shooting an M6TTL and a tri-elmar set on 50mm. This is a favorite picture of mine because it's one of those rare ones that come out exactly as you envisioned it. It shows the advantage of rangefinder photoraphy because I never could've taken it with an SLR. I saw the women coming with my peripheral vision, then watched them through the viewfinder enter the framelines. I pressed the shutter exactly when I wanted to--with an SLR I would've been too late. I thought it evoked the spirit of HCB because it was taken at the decisive moment and there are geometric designs all over it. Also, it's kind of funny.
Anyway, thanks for choosing it as a finalist and congratulations to all the finalists and to Remy for his winning shot, and hats off to all the entrants for many wonderful snaps.

Cheers,

Craig

RML and the other participants of the contest are commenting how were taken images.

Well mine.

Number 6.

The pic was taken in July of 2005, from from the balcony´s house of one friend. I had not slept during all the night, my friend was with hers friends (I did not know them) in other room, I do not know if playing, I do not know if sleeping… I was sad and melancholic, I did not feel me comfortable, I did not feel well... the dawn happened very slow ... and my friend continued in his things. Irremediably the dawn arrived, I showed a moment by the window and I saw the scene. I saw me, I saw to him, digressing, in our solitude, He and I, I and He, I saw me in this moment, in other body, in other place, but with the same feeling.

Film: Ilford Hp5 - 400 Iso
Camera: Canonet QL GIII 17
Dont remeber the metering. But I use one wide aperture.

I do not want create controversy, but my desire had been that if there had been a photo mine selected for the final contest was the photo of the girl, because brings me better memories, and touches more my heart ...

Film: Kodak TRX - 400 Iso
Camera: Leica M6 - Elmar 50 mm 2.8
I use 1/60 and F4 or F5.6 dont remember.

Thanks again for all.
😉

Although I didn't vote for this image, I'm glad that a 'regular' forum member won the competition! It would suck if some one who just joined for the competition won...
