Does anyone have a good sense of weather sealing on the m240?
Any real world experiences, good or bad?
Beyond just strolls etc, a decent downpour for example.
Got to do a thing where the weather will be bad..

Far as I'm aware, the M/M-P type 240, M/M-D typ 262, and MM typ 246 are all weather sealed (other than for the lens mount) and should work fine in most rainy conditions. They're not designed to be submerged but normal rainy weather should not permit ingress of water.

I've had the M-P and M-D out in rainy weather a few times, both last year and this. I exercised no special cautions in using them, and I haven't seen any evidence that water made it inside the camera.

(Supposedly, the fine pitch of the focusing helicoid plus the lubricants protect the lenses from ingress of water, and the precise fit of the lens onto the lens mount flange prevents water ingress there. The lens mount is the most questionable point of water ingress to me.)

a little OT but there was a guy I once met who said he used his M7 out in the rain until it "stops working" then when it cuts out he calls it a day and dries it out and keeps going the next day.
