Wedding and Honeymoon

I need to decide which lens to buy for the upcoming wedding in June and subsequent honeymoon in August in London and Amalfi coast.

I currently use a 50mm lens which I won't be able to bring along because it is falling apart. Either way I love 50mm but I am afraid I will really want to have 35mm on wedding day and during the honeymoon.

Anyone had similar experience? Thoughts?

How about getting your 50mm repaired AND get a 35mm. Then use both of them to assure yourself of reliability before the fateful date! If you want to have only one lens with you, then you have ample opportunity to decide which one.

A word of advice: it might be easier to buy expensive camera equipment before than after the wedding 🙂

Seriously though, a portrait lens during wedding and honeymoon (for example your 50 or something longer) might come in handy.

Assuming it's your wedding and honeymoon, I would think there would be more important things on your mind than what lens(e) to use. 🙂
