ya know.. it's so true - even these folks, who both grew up on film and were married last Saturday want B&W but they wanted digital B&W - because they know how "long" it's going to take to process the film (for me, that is, as I'm not doing this full time) and then print a contact sheet, edit the images, do final prints with any touch ups etc.
I adore shooting weddings - I'm not nearly as awesome as Riccis is but I know that my clients are happy and that, to me, at least tells me that I'm going in the right direction.
I will offer some sort of film option in the future although I don't anticipate a huge flood of requests because the option would be 1) more expensive digital and 2) take more time to process than digital.
That said, unlike years gone by, I would hand over the negatives with the prints (after scanning some of them in for my own portfolio via the Nikon 5000 of course) 🙂
