Weekend Photography Plans: What are you up to?

Unseasonably hot, here in northern Michigan, so I didn't go far this past weekend. Just took a few Polaroids, and spent time doing PS on pics took the previous weekend. That, and took a nice, cool dip in Lake Huron.

Inspired by Lynn's Instax walk-around thread, I'm going to take my Instax SQ-6 and take a walk through our local community gardens. Many of the wildflowers are in bloom right now. We'll see what I find.

I miss a chance yesterday, being clamped down I went to get a donut. Then had to go to a park to eat it. There was a 130 year old mansion at the park. Perfect day: very blue sky, some clouds, bright white Victorian mansion, and me without my Rolleiflex.

Hopefully going to test this lovely out:

It's originally meant for 116 film, but I found the 120 spool adapters online and added two thin metal strips to the upper and lower portions of the film gate to ensure film edge stability. Hoping it will all work!

This reminds me it is a long time I do not use my (father's) Rollei.

Maybe it's time to give a try...a few 120 films should be around...

I need to take out my Rolleiflex too. The digital cameras turn me into a lazy person!

I know, I worked (volunteered) for a local theater group. And I had to do the images digitally for fast turnaround. Two things I learned from that 'job.' First, I learned how to use a digital camera, and second, I learned how to be photographically lazy.

I was hired to take some product shots of two gals selling their health drink. Never tried this before, so we'll see what happens. For digital, taking along my Canon RP, Leica M240. For film, my old Yashica Mat 124G and Tri-X.

It is August 14(Friday and not Saturday), and it is raining on and off here in Pensacola.

What are you up to this weekend?

It is Labor Day weekend in the USA. I will take some photos locally with the M10.
I did a manuscript review this morning and some advising to students.

What are your plans for the weekend?

What are your plans for the weekend?

As countless others have stated in this thread, it's been very strange without the usual events, milestones, and holidays to anticipate and delineate time. After being holed up since early March, a few friends are braving getting out and meeting up for our usual nature excursions. You all in florida seem to be faring better than you were a few months ago, congrats. We're at <2% positive cases in the Seattle area, so I'm feeling a little brave, whether that's out street shooting or grabbing a drink with old friends.

Today my old college roommate is buying a shotgun for god knows what reason, and given that she recently bequeathed me her entire Canon 5D kit, I'm returning the favor in going out to the Capitol Forest and shooting some action shots. It should be interesting, at least.

My SO is a frontline worker and doesn't have the holiday off, but the entirety of next week is open. Last month a few sites around Olympic NP have been closed for crowding, and that's always been our end-of-summer trip heading up Hood Canal and around to Pt. Townsend and Pt. Angeles en route to La Push. We're hoping it'll be calmer once the holiday crowds head out. I'm hoping to bring the GX680 into the depths of the rainforest with some Provia—around this time of year, there's a lot of fog and mist that make for great landscape shots.

Avoiding pretty much going anywhere since our little mountain town and environs is over-run with Labour Day crowds. Will be mounting some photos printed a couple of days ago.

Labor Day weekend finds northern Michigan overrun by tourists, so we're staying home and enjoying the fall-like weather. I am processing film this afternoon, as well as running 50-60 digital pics of a horse-shoot I did this past Monday through PS.

Monday afternoon, I teach the 20-something daughter of a friend of ours how to process B&W film. Looking forward to that.

Today I worked a little on the editing of my next Blurb Book with the photos taken during the lockdown.
We do not go out much in the weekend; we prefer simple working days with less crowding in the streets. Covid19 still around :-(
I am practicing to go out almost always with a camera and started a project about my town, my surroundings. If we go out for a short walk I'll bring the M10 in these days with the CV 50 F2 Heliar anniversary edition.

Good for you, Robert.
I used the Heliar 50 3.5 on my M10 "at dinner". It was at Pensacola Beach, and we sat outside, so the beach was our backdrop. I walked over a few steps to take photos of the beautiful beach just before sunset.

It is weekend again. We went through having Hurricane Sally hit Pensacola. I used the 75 Lux for some candle light photos.
