Yesterday: Drove 3 hours, shot 3 hours along the Cape Fear river, drove 3 hours back. Tried out the new 85/2 on the OM2N, and also ran a roll of Pan F through, something new for me.

The Standard Leica is such a delight to use; it is small, light, and elegant looking while having a butter smooth shutter (release).
We had a crimson red sunset with awesome cloud formations. I have seen too many of them down here, so I just enjoyed looking at the scene from our home, and I did not take any photos of it.

I met a couple of film aficionados from a local forum. We talked a lot of film gear over the coffee, walked around a bit in the rain and did some shooting. We had great fun.

It is weekend again [just around the corner ...], and it is time to plan for some photography related activities.
I may force myself to use a MF camera for a change.
What will you be doing?

Most likely RF with the M6 and Summicron. It's still a new toy for me. Also my wife has taken interest in shooting film with my Leica, so we've been out shooting the last few weekends.
But seriously, I need to get out more often with my 4x5. It's just there is exposed film in all of my holders from last winter and I can't seem to make time to develop the sheets. First I need to mix up my Xtol.

All the discussions about the J-3 and about the 35mm Summicron make me want to use these two lenses. I am proctoring a 2.5 hour final exam first today, followed a while later by a home cooked superb Chinese dinner at a friend's home. Photography may have to wait until tomorrow.

My M2 and Canon 50/1.8 have been feeling neglected of late. I'll be taking them both to the Sierra foothills this weekend on a holiday shopping trip. Shooting color film this time.

Went to the festival of lights last night and the Christmas parade today. Shot with the Bessa R + Canon 35mm 1.8 last night, SLR w/ 28mm today. Hoping my new Canon P comes today!

I have been busy with grading final exams and assigning grades for about 180 students, but I will have some [time] today for photography if the weather stays without rain a little longer.
My camera bag includes:
Canon P and Leica M6, Canon 85mm 1.5 plus CZJ 5cm 1.5 and Summilux 35mm 1.4.
A CV 25/4 is also there.
What have you been doing this weekend?

Sadly no photography... got home Friday night to find my 89-yr-old neighbour with a broken ankle, and took her to hospital. Got home 7am the next day. I've been sleeping all weekend trying to recover.
But... I have 4 weeks off approaching. I hope to sort out my new 4x5 pinhole camera, and get to know my new heliar 50/2.

Fergus,
Helping out an old neighbor was the best thing to do.

On many rainy days I have taken photos from under an umbrella.

One has to own an umbrella.
I actually did some shooting yesterday, so I've gotten my fix. I do need some bad weather shots, so maybe next weekend if it's still nasty out.

It's gonna snow, or rain, or sleet, or ice up -- probably all four -- in this part of the Tar Heel state.
I may finally break open the 800-page Photoshop book that's been sitting on my desk for weeks, flattening negatives.
