Weekend Photography Plans: What are you up to?

8-12 inches of snow in VA call for much shoveling and maybe some badly exposed candid shots taken from my windows. But I do have three rolls of negatives that requiring scanning... that should keep me busy. Also I need to order more prints from MPix for a competition next month. Entered 3 and was juried into 3. But not even an honorable mention yet... oh well. Keep trying, right?

Today I received a Zeiss Ikon Contessamat SBE with a very clean Tessar 2,8/50mm. Shutter and aperture are working, RF seems to be fine, so this will be my weekend toy. (BTW the camera was 1,- Euro + shipping at Ebay; including case, Zeiss UV filter and Zeiss rubber shade)

Waiting for the arrival of my 35 cron asph in the mail and then off to shoot the impending snow storm in DC. Also ready to shoot the birth of my daughter if she decides to show up this weekend

It is raining and raining here in Pensacola. I am preparing hot tea Iraqi style to start the day.

The weekend should be "dry" though.

I have 1/2 roll of Tri-X left in my Contaflex TLR, so I'll hopefully finish it off with my new 85/2 Sonnar lens from the Leica Shop.

I'm interested to know the secret of Iraqi tea too.

I got a FE2 for an extended loan from a friend. So I'm going to shoot with it primarily. It's -20C and a only few hours of light around noon at best. Maybe I'll shoot colour film for a change.

Shooting 4x5 of late 19th century stuff in a period "village" type museum. Extremely low light, unfortunately. Time to break out the reciprocity table for HP5, I'm afraid.

Got a Canon A1 and 50 1.4 earlier this week so I'll be running some Delta 400 through it to test it out. We have snow here today so what I end up doing will be weather dependent.

Shooting for the Web

Shooting for the Web

A local log home dealer has asked me to do a shoot of the Christmas decorations of their display home for uploading to his web site. I will, in all likelihood, be using my Canon A-1 with a Canon 24mm f/2.8 and 50mm f/1.4 for most of the shots. This will be a real treat for me to shoot in a semiprofessional setting even though I will only charge him for the film and processing. I will endeavor to work in a few shots with my Contax G1. I am not confident enough using it in such a prestigious situation to rely solely upon it as the only camera.

We will have 38F tonight, so with the low humidity and colder than usual lows, I expect very vibrant colors for the sunset. I will most likely load the Rollefilex with some film for the "occasion".

Either shoot in the city tomorrow or go to the dunes.. both should be a fair bit snowy or icey :) Think I'll take the Hassy with me now that I can fit my M in my coat pocket.

Depends on the light. I might go out to the Burying Ground for some solstice eve shots but I'd prefer if it's a bit brighter than it was today since I'm doing that project in color.

William

I used a J-3 with the M6 for some sunset photos yesterday. I will have to do it again today. The colors were so nice, but it was kinda cold.

It is "like weekend" until January 1, so let's chat about your photo plans.

In the USA, there are snow storms in some parts of the country, so maybe we will see some great snow scene photos soon. I will try to take a few photos each day. I started at 6:45am this morning by taking a few digital photos from the kitchen window of the red sun rising over Escambia Bay.Tonight I will document the Christmas lights outside our home.We have never had so many lights before, and my kids are thrilled.

Have a good break.

You're right Raid, it's like a big weekend. Until Jan 3 really.

I have trays now for developing 4x5, a new pinhole wooden camera, a 50-pack of cheap film from China, plenty of developer, but no fixer! Argh!

Perhaps a Thursday morning run for some fixer, it's about 20km to my nearest outlet. Fingers crossed they are open. I will call them tomorrow to confirm.

I will take some photos on January 1 2010!
I may use a Konica RF camera for a change.

What will you be up to?

My plan for next weekend is to develop the first film I shoot with my new Eliar 50mm f2 !
Crossing finger because most of pictures were taken during Silvester dinner with a low light situation and I'm not sure about...let's see...
robert
film was fuji 1600...

Robert,
I bet you mean the Heliar 50mm 2.0! Now that's a good lens. Some people dislike it, but I find it to be a very good lens.

I just arranged my camera bag for going out with the family soon. It includes two Kodak Retina cameras.
