Weekend Photography Plans: What are you up to?

Went out with three friends to Great Barrington, MA, for a photo weekend. Roamed around the area, explored a burnt-out factory, went to Bish Bash Falls, and generally took a lot of pictures. At home now, sore from hiking and shlepping my camera bag around.

I ended up using a 85mm tele for some portraits of my two daughters in the back porch of our home. That's it.

Sounds like a good day... great lens choice IMO.:)

Just loaded up the Leicas with color film for the first time in quite awhile. Another couple of BW rolls on backlog for developing later. And that was it as I spent the day washing/waxing the car, cleaning house and lots of other household chores.:p

I used a Pentax Spotmatic F with the Pentax 85mm/1.9 SMC lens. It is a great combo.

I used the M6 with the 75 lux and the M3 with the 35 mm summicron. I may completed 4-5 rolls of film at the beach and outside a seafood store. Guess what .... Paul Fish is also taking photos there! We may meet up again tomorrow for some coffee.

What are you up to?

I was hoping to set up my first darkroom this weekend but more urgent tasks took up Saturday and most of Sunday. Now I'm trying to locate what woodworking tools (and skills...) I have to cobble together a window cover. But if all else fails, I can probably get by with double curtains after dark. Itching to try my hand at wet printing.

I had a great coffee meeting with Paul "Fish" at Krispy Kreme doughnut place. I drank a Cappuccino and skipped the doughnuts.

Next, I will take the girls for another beach visit today. Life is good.

got some shots at joe patti's seafood market in pensacola (saw raid there, too), and lots of shots of the two granddaughters, plus some abstract stuff. going to a town/city opens up so many opportunites for making photos; love the angles and hard edges. we don't get much in the way of edges and angles out in the sticks ... :)
much enjoyed the two-hours with Raid at krispy kreme.

I ran a test roll through a new to me folder, quite pleased with the results. But had a scratch on the neg and the release button thing for the spool is broken, had to change rolls with a coffee stirrer. Did the important shopping of fresh veg, cheese and eggs off the market. Spent most of Sunday recovering from my trip to town, fybromyalgia is a bitch and scanning the aforementioned negs. The lens on the camera is not sharp but it does make a pleasant image, I think shell be good for portraits. Also watched 3 dvd's of William Eggleston.

I will try to unwind this weekend. This week has been more stressful than other weeks at work.

Contax G1 and some white sand beach may be the solution!

What will you be up to?

This weekend I'll set up my darkroom for sure. My wife's away which makes it easier to commandeer our only bathroom :D

This is assuming our crazy weather doesn't knock out the power tomorrow night. We could be getting 4 to 5 inches of wet snow! (No, I'm not in the mountains.)
